A collection of Self Portraits
Working on my porfolio i decided to paint three self portraits all different and all the same size 30"X40" OIL ON CANVAS
Israeli Independance Project
This Painting was done for the Israeli Independence day at the David Posnack Jewish Community Center in Davie, FL. I am currently taking a class there with my teachers Linda Altshuler and Anne Wolkiwitz.
Painting Description: This painting represents the eyes of Moses and insides his eyes is the reflection of the parting seas. In a way you are see the seas parting through his eyes. The Aramaic around the eyes are the 72 names of G-d each one represents a different energy (ie. unconditional love, healing energy, soul mate energy, etc.). These symbols are used as a kabbalistic meditation tool. According to Kabbalah Moses used the 72 names.
